The Best Memorial Day Sales & Steals + What I Bought
Summer is officially upon us and one of my favorite shopping weekends is here! As usual, I've scoured for hours to find you the best deals and sales on the cutest baby and kids gear. I am so excited to be sharing my picks with you and details on what I scooped up for Brody and our little Summer baby.
12 Things I Learned from Potty Training + My Favorite Potty Training Gear
Potty training. These two words evoked fear in my mind. I envisioned tantrums, major messes, and stressful days ahead when we decided to venture into the world of potty training a few weeks before Brody turned 2. Much to my surprise, the whole process was smooth, un-stressful, quick, and dare I even say fun for Brody?
3 Ways We Are Prepping For Baby #2’s Arrival
The weeks of this pregnancy are flying by. With the third trimester’s arrival, we are starting to get into baby mode around here. From the car seat, to the nursery, to prepping big brother for his new role, we are getting excited for baby #2’s arrival!
Today I thought it would be fun to share how our baby prepping has been coming along. It sure has been different this time around.
Peach Picking + Weekend Favorites
Happy weekend, sweet mommas! We ventured out to Schnepf Farms for their annual Peach Festival this morning. This is Brody's 3rd year going and it has been so fun to see how he has changed over the years (look at how tiny he was last year). The peach festival has become my favorite Mother's Day weekend tradition.
A visit to the peach festival isn't complete without a huge, homemade peach cinnamon roll and a juicy peach fresh off of the tree. I am excited to have two little ones with us next Spring when we return for peach picking.
3 Things You Should Increase During Pregnancy
Pregnancy, oh pregnancy. From sleep to nutrition, vitamins to hormones, pregnancy changes our needs in so many ways. Today I am sharing 3 things you should consider increasing during pregnancy.
Our Toddler Bath Time Routine with Aveeno Baby
Remember that silky, smooth-as-butter, baby skin on your little one when they were born? I have been trying to keep Brody’s skin feeling baby soft, which can be tough especially with our dry Arizona heat. We have revamped our bath time routine a bit and have incorporated gentle lotions and cleansers and that baby soft skin has returned.
Weekend Favorites
Happy Friday! I hope you have some fun plans in line for the weekend. On our agenda: cleaning out the nursery room closet and a fun little baby sprinkle I am co-hosting for a sweet friend. I thought it would be fun to start a new series on the weekends to round up my favorite articles, motivational tidbits, freebies and sales I come across throughout the week. My weekend favorites.
2 Minute Simple No-Sew Hair Bow Headbands
A super simple tutorial to create baby headbands in 2 minutes for under $2!
A Boho Mother's Day Picnic
A few months back, my friend Dana and I started brainstorming a dreamy Mother’s Day shoot to celebrate mommas.
From the dresses to the flowers, the make-up to the macarons, we wanted to incorporate as many Arizona makers and mommas into the day as possible.
My Favorite Maternity Outfit + A Weekend In Tucson
Ever since our Babymoon, JD and I have been craving more date nights. More time together. More of those deep conversations that we lived for in our early days of dating. Our first kid-free trip to Bermuda was a bit like cutting the umbilical cord. We rediscovered those two crazy high school lovers that had been buried down by loads of laundry, never ending to-do lists, and those far-to-often conversations about our kid's bodily functions.
Momma Society: A New Look + A New Mantra
It has been over 2 years since I started Momma Society. I was reminiscing the other day about the beginning. About what sparked my need to connect with other moms, to share my thoughts and feelings on motherhood, to carve out a little spot in the World Wide Web for the modern mom.
The truth? I was lonely. I was nearing the end of my pregnancy with Brody and filled with fear that I did not know others who were expecting or had little ones.
Our Spring Family Photos with Portrait Innovations
One thing I am learning about toddlers is how hard it is to get them to smile or sit still for pictures. Perhaps it is the fact that I am always chasing Brody around for pictures, or perhaps it is his disinterest in smiling when there is a big lens in front of his face, regardless I refuse to give up.
My favorite gifts for ages 0-2!
