The Best (+ Worst) of Boys Swimsuits

I’m in full on summer prepping mode which means new swimsuits for everyone! I’ve searched all of my favorite spots online for the best and worst of boys swimsuits and I’m so excited to show you what I’ve found. Now that we have another baby boy in the house (I still cannot believe it some days) I’m having so much fun picking out items for the big and little guys.

Little ones need extra protection when they’re in the sun, and I love that so many kids’ swimsuits come packed with built in SPF. For babies Luca’s age, I try to totally keep them out of direct sunlight and usually opt for a rash guard with shorts or a one piece to give them that extra layer of protection. For Brody, I generally just opt for the swim shorts themselves with a heavy dose of my favorite sunscreen.

Psst - need some sunscreen but not sure where to start? I tried out $100 worth of sunscreen to find the best one for babies + kids!

I’ve rounded up all of my favorite (and least favorite) finds with my honest opinion of each below. There were some surprise winners and of course a few non-surprises from my favorite brands.

One // Amazon // I love the colors and price point for this suit and there’s a matching dad option as well. They’re very similar to Chubbies brand but much more affordable!

Two // Janie and Jack // I love the sweet sailboat pattern on these trunks. They come in a huge range of sizes, so you can snag matching shorts for all the little guys in your family.

Three // H&M // Love this seersucker pattern and I was able to order a matching suit for Isla.

Four // Hanna Anderson // This is a great full coverage option, especially if you’re dressing a baby that isn’t ready for sunscreen yet - plus it has SPF built in.

Five // Amazon // I was so excited when I found this matching family option, but overall disappointed with the quality. They all run small and the fabric is thin. But, the girls suit option is super cute!

Six // Rugged Butts // Rugged Butts is such a great option for something taht's both affordable and has fantastic quality. These are a little on the longer side, come in a big range of sizes, and as walys have SPF built into the fabric.

Seven // Jacadi Paris // These are a bit on the pricy side, but they're beyond precious and come in two color options.

Eight // Mud Pie // These whale swimmers are precious and the Mud Pie brand is very good quality!

Nine // Amazon // This was an amazing Amazon find. They are excellent quality and look so good in person. They fit true to size, too!

Ten // Amazon // This one is a keeper for sure! It comes from one of my favorite brands on Amazon and has a matching option for dad, too.

Eleven // Amazon // Cute! I love the color and the fit is great, but I’m not a fan of the large writing on the sleeve.

Twelve // H&M // Love this one! The material is quality and the print is classic so it will never go out of style.

Thirteen // Amazon // I love the print on these, but the suit is totally unlined. Might be better as shorts for summertime play.

Fourteen // Amazon // The price point for this set is awesome and the fabric is definitely quality. However, it is unlined, so again might be better for outdoor play than for the pool.

Fifteen // Amazon // The color is fun and bright, but the fit is baggy and they are unlined. I’ll be returning these.
