Dressing For Motherhood + My Favorite Nursing Shirt

You know that weird phase after pregnancy when your wardrobe suddenly doesn’t work with your lifestyle? That is where I am. Do I pull on the maternity leggings that are so comfy? Do I wear a dress and have to hide in the car every time I need to feed Isla on the go? Do I dare try to squeeze into something I wore before Isla was even a thought in our minds? Most days, it is a big no for those 3 options.

I have slowly been transitioning my closet into a more nursing friendly wardrobe. As a girl who is used to wearing dresses 24/7, I am surprising myself with how fun pairing pants and tops can be. I have also been working on creating more of a capsule wardrobe for myself. I am sticking to pieces I can mix in match throughout my closet and these different phases of motherhood.

One of my most favorite recent purchases has been this white French Connection cage top. I love that it feels a little sophisticated, yet practical and comfortable. It has been a great purchase for our Arizona Fall. I am excited to wear it with jeans, tucked in with a full skirt, or paired with black pants over the next few months.

There is something about a new wardrobe piece that perks me up. It is far too easy to lose myself in motherhood, especially now with two. Spending a few extra minutes a morning putting together an outfit has really helped kick start my days.

What are your favorite nursing outfits?
