Thank-you Joovy for collaborating on this post. Joovy provided us with their new Balloon stroller to explore our town, but all opinions are our own. We only share products and brands we truly love and use.
In Arizona, we judge a stroller by its sunshade. The sun beats strong and come Spring and Summer, there is no escaping the house without sun protection in many forms. Finding a stroller that offers this type of protection is tough, but the Joovy Balloon has become the perfect solution. As if the balloon shaped canopy was not enough, this stroller goes the extra mile with the canopy being made with a material that is UPF50!
Weighing in at under 13-lbs, the balloon is also one of the lightest weight full featured strollers on the market. We bough a cheapo umbrella stroller for our trip to London this past fall, but the Balloon is so lightweight that we will likely be using it for future travel.
The cushioned seat is ultra comfortable. Brody has already taken a couple of naps in the few weeks we've been using the stroller. The seat is a bit more reclined than other strollers we have used when it is pushed up into the highest position. This is great for napping, but if your little one is an observer, you may find them straining their neck a bit to see what is going on.
Another neat feature is the handlebar's reversible handle. You can switch the stroller from forward facing to outward facing so simply. I've noticed that depending on Brody's mood, he sometimes will prefer to look at me when we are out and about rather than the surroundings. Other days, it's the opposite, so the flexibility of this feature is great!
Other Great Features:
- Two cup holders! (I think this should be a requirement for all strollers, momma needs her coffee + baby needs his sippy cup!)
- Decent sized basket underneath the stroller.
- Can be folded and unfolded with one hand.
- Compact for storage.
- Includes a carseat adapter.
