A Fun Toddler Snack: Frozen Peanut Butter Banana Bites

There's nothing I love more than a quick, easy, and healthy recipe that doesn't require a cupboard full of ingredients. With two kids, it’s hard to find the time or energy to cook up a bunch of fancy snacks. If you’ve been following along on the Momma Society Instagram, you’ve seen my toddler snack board for Brody and Isla. I decided to whip up a batch of these Peanut Butter Banana Bites for them to munch on! If you’re looking for an easy toddler snack idea, then you’ll definitely want to try this recipe!

What is so great about this simple recipe? It takes three messy foods (peanut butter, bananas, and yogurt) and makes them into a less messy bite-sized treat after a few hours in the freezer. Plus, it’s both healthy and delicious. This is the perfect treat to add into your snack rotation as we head into the warmer Summer months.

Post freezer, these also make a great treat for a teething baby. The cool, soft banana is soothing on the gums.

For the yogurt topping, have fun mixing and matching different flavor combinations. We mixed cherry yogurt with Kefir for some extra probiotics.

Ingredients:

  • Ripe Banana Sliced Into Circles

  • Smooth Peanut Butter (We love using Pic's)

  • Yogurt (or Kefir or a combo of the two)

Directions:

  1. Slice Banana.

  2. Add thin layer of peanut butter.

  3. Sandwich peanut butter layer with another slice of banana.

  4. Lightly drizzle yogurt on top.

  5. Freeze for 3-4 hours.
